Samantha Watkins
Doula
My name is Samantha Watkins, I am a mother of six children… four biological and two bonus blessings. I am a health care worker and pursuing my dream of being a full-time doula. I am a native of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I enjoy cooking, traveling with my friends, and family. I’m big on family gatherings and hosting family events. I enjoy meditating and speaking life into, not only myself and my family, but others. I became interested in becoming a doula after realizing my birthing experience was not “normal”. Out of four pregnancies, I only had one positive experience. During the doula training, I became emotional learning so much and realized the war on the womb of black women. I am devoted to educating my community and serving my sisters in a great, healthy pregnancy and birth. This work is much needed in my community and across the nation. I want to help women feel empowered knowing that our bodies are made for this and labor is a beautiful process. I want to give mothers back their voice and control over their womb. I can’t wait to help you create a calming, spiritual, and peaceful birthing environment!
